Incidents Around the House

The little girl is the narrator. Is she in third grade? She apparently has a book report that doesn’t get a good grade. This is the story of a girl who has attracted the creepy intentions of the standard monster under the bed. This creature is suitably abstract yet at the same time hairy, big, and irrationally shape shifting such that I picture the monster from Where the Wild Things Are. This book has an anti-climactic yet sad ending. Not sure I will be watching the movie.
