Perhaps it was the part of her that could summon the bitter taste of maror that knew: the telling held the answers, or if not answers, then some kind of ease. Meh. This book didn’t know what it was. There are chunks of it that use the trope of an infocom game like Zork to evoke a far future mission from earth to find a new planet. But parts of the book, set in the 1980s are about a young lesbian trying to navigate new found romance and the death of her gay brother. And then the bigger part of it is about a found (jewish) family in a post climate change ocean earth. But it never made a choice to unify the threads that it started and I got frustrated but by the time I decided I was fed up there were only 10 pages left.
